Book Sale

In 2021 the Library weeded over 500 books from their collection. This means that we have boxes on boxes of books that need a new home. June-September we will be offering these books to our community for free will donation. Library staff will set up a table with a couple of these boxes every Tuesday at the Farmer’s Market.

RADA Cutlery

All year around the Library Foundation sells RADA Cutlery. This could be a great gift for weddings and graduates! If you would like to purchase an item from the catalog click here

Library Giving day

Every year the Foundation participates in this one day event. On Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 donors can either mail their donations to the library or contribute online through the Northeast Kansas Library Foundation. Once you are on the their website, just choose the Silver Lake Library to support our organization. All donors will have their names added to our book plaques that are displayed in our children’s area.

East & West Wall Fundraiser

This phase involves removing and replacing the crumbling concrete. If funding permits we are considering adding a mural on the east wall. In addition to the funds we currently have available, we need to raise $40,400 to reach our goal.

Junque Yard & Book Sale

Join us on Sept. 9th 8a.m.-5p.m. & 10th 8a.m.-2p.m. at the Silver Lake Public Library for our annual Junque Yard Sale and Book Sale. All items are free-will donation. All money raised will go towards our East/West Wall Renovation.

If you have items around your home that you would like to get rid of we will be accepting donations beginning on August 22nd for our sale.
